Ricky Starks is the new NWA Television Champion after winning the NWA TV Title Tournament at the eventful Hard Times pay-per-view last night.

Starks faced Trevor Murdoch (who was the favorite to win) in the finals, and after a hard-hitting back-and-forth encounter he managed to hit a Spear/Stroke combo to score the pinfall victory and begin his first reign as NWA TV Champion. It was a hard road to get to that point, as Starks had to first defeat Matt Cross and Tim Storm to earn his way to the finals.

Expect a fairly lengthy run with the title for Starks, as The NWA is not in the habit of playing hot potato with their championships.
