The National Wrestling Alliance is bringing its annual anniversary show to the northeast!
The National Wrestling Alliance celebrates 77 years of history, legacy, and tradition at NWA 77 on August 16 at The Paramount in Huntington, NY!
This is the first time the annual NWA anniversary event will be held in New York, making this, along with the recent ROKU announcement, the perfect opportunity for fans to experience and celebrate the next chapter of the NWA.
Tickets to NWA 77 at The Paramount will go on sale TODAY, Monday, June 16th at noon EST at the link below.
The NWA has been on the upswing as of late. The promotion is coming off a successful Crockett Cup show where Nattie Nedihart fought the NWA World Women’s Champion Kenzie Paige.
A few weeks after their annual pay-per-view, Billy Corgan revealed that NWA Powerrr will be streaming on the Roku Channel starting on July 29th. There was a point where the future looked bleak for the historic promotion, but that all changed in a manner of months.
As of this writing, there’s no word on what’s expected to take place at the upcoming 77 show. It’s typically their annual show, so naturally, NWA has big matches planned for the upcoming event. Currently, Thom Latimer represents the promotion as the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.
He’ll surely have a match, though his opponents aren't exactly clear yet. When Latimer defends his belt, it will be his 27th title defense. The 38-year-old originally won the NWA Worlds Heavyweight title from EC3 at NWA 76, so this will actually be a one year anniversary for the reigning champion. We’ll keep you posted on when matches are officially confirmed for the upcoming pay-per-view.
