Kenzie Paige will defend the NWA World Women’s title for the 31st time.
At the 77th Anniversary show, Kenzie is set to defend her prestigious belt against Natalia Markova. Back in March, Markova beat Kenzie’s sister, Kylie, in a number one’s contender’s match to earn a future title shot. Markova has been in the NWA for four years and has slowly climbed up the ladder in the company’s division.
Now this isn’t Markova’s first NWA World Women’s title shot as she had a notable feud with former NWA star Kamille for the belt in 2023. Kamille emerged victorious in that rivalry, though Natalia came out looking like a star despite being on the losing end.
Paige has been quite busy in the biggest year of her career.
Kenzie Paige has held the NWA World Women’s title for more than 600 days. She beat “Brickhouse” Kamille at NWA 75. The former NWA star held the belt for an astounding 812 days, beating big names such as Chelsea Green, Taya Valkyrie, Taryn Terrell, and Melina, but Kenzie Paige managed to overcome the odds and beat the current AEW star in an unforgettable match.
Since then, the young star has managed to win every challenge that’s been put in her way. Max The Impaler, Roxy, Stevie Ash, Ruthie Jay, and Saraya Saber are just a short list of names that Paige has beaten in order to reach 600 plus days of being the NWA World Women's Champion.
Her most notable win was against former WWE Diva’s Champion Natalya. The two locked horns at the 2025 Crockett Cup pay-per-view. Since then, Paige has successfully defended her belt against Clara Carter, Sirena Veil, Mackenzie Morgan, and Karissa Rivera. Could Markova finally be the woman to take down a champion that’s held the NWA World Women’s title for two years? We’ll find out on August 16th! The World Women's title match joins the World Junior Heavyweight Championship match for the upcoming pay-per-view.
