Trevor Murdoch is the new NWA National Champion!
This past Tuesday saw the third installment of the UWN Prime Time pay-per-view and Aron Stevens vs. Trevor Murdoch headlined the event. This is actually a rematch from the title bout back in January that saw Aron Stevens retain his belt due to the contest ending in a draw.
This is Murdoch’s first run with any championship in NWA. Stevens’ title reign ends at 290 days, having won it from Colt Cabana at NWA Into the Fire in December of 2019. The 38-year-old didn’t get a chance to defend the belt much due to the NWA shutting down because of the pandemic. Stevens only fought Scott Steiner and Trevor Murdoch for the title, neither of which were clean wins.
Elsewhere on the card, So Cal Distancing retained their United Wrestling Network Tag Team titles, Chris Dickinson impressed with a win over Anthony Idol and former NWA Women’s Champion Allysin Kay got the better of Nicole Savoy. Check out the full results below:
