One of the many matches announced on tonight's episode of NXT for future editions of the show has major implications for the women's division going forward.

When it comes to Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer in NXT, WWE has clearly adopted—intentionally or not—a stall and then fast-forward approach to their runs.

Back in April 2024, Giulia was rumored to have signed with WWE. No official announcement came about until September. Just a few weeks later, Giulia was already competing for the NXT Women's Chapmionship, but failed to dethrone Roxanne Perez. For the next few months, Giulia formed a partnership with Stephanie Vaquer, who had been announced as part of the company in July, only to not make her on-screen debut until September as well.

Eventually, WWE came around to having Giulia beat Perez for the NXT Women's Championship at New Year's Evil on January 7, 2025, while Vaquer captured the NXT Women's North American Championship less than two weeks ago at WWE Vengeance Day.

And yet, despite the nearly year-long stall to get to this point, after only 50 and 11 days as champions, one of them is going to lose their title, as they have been booked in a title-for-title match at WWE Roadblock.

This came about after Vaquer successfully retained her title over Karmen Petrovic in the opening match of tonight's episode, and Giulia came out after to put out the challenge to settle the score for which one of them is the real champion of champions. Later in the night, NXT General Manager Ava made it official that it would go down at Roadblock, which is becoming a rather stacked card as Oba Femi and Moose will fight for the NXT Championship and The Hardy Boyz will defend the TNA World Tag Team Championship against Fraxiom.

Roadblock is set to take place Tuesday, March 11th at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden in New York City as a special edition of NXT. It will air in its usual time slot of 8 p.m. on the CW Network.

Who do you think will walk out of Roadblock with the two women's titles? Is it too soon to be doing this, or is it the best match at the right time? Drop your predictions and other thoughts in the comments below!
