WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg continues to make sporadic appearances for WWE and recently squared off with Bobby Lashley in a match at Crown Jewel where he vowed to kill the former WWE Champion (he didn't). We don't know when we'll see him next, but with WrestleMania season approaching, chances are he'll soon get a call to compete at the Show of Shows.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Goldberg revealed that he needs shoulder surgery but plans to wait until his in-ring career is completely over before having the issue fixed.
"I felt pretty good. I won’t tell everybody on national radio or television that my shoulder has been destroyed for the last three years, five years, eight years and I need surgery. I’ll get it when I’m done, I’ll get it when I’m finished. If Vince [McMahon] calls me tomorrow morning and says, ‘Goldberg, we need you in a month.’ What am I going to do if I get surgery? I’ll get it done when it’s time."
In the same interview, he confirmed how many matches are left on his contract. "I got one more match left on my deal, man," he said. "No, everybody knows I got one more left. That’s it."
Whether WWE will choose to sign Goldberg to another deal remains to be seen, especially in the midst of seemingly endless budget cuts. However, chances are the company will want to keep the WCW legend as far away from AEW as possible...assuming that company would be interested!
