Is Triple H Leaving WWE To Start His Own Pro Wrestling Promotion? Here's The Latest!

After NXT became NXT 2.0, there were a lot of crazy theories floating around online about Triple H's future. Now, we have an update on rumours he plans to leave WWE and create his own wrestling promotion...

Ever since Triple H was hospitalised with an unknown heart issue, there's been a lot of speculation about his WWE future. Rumour has it Vince McMahon was unhappy that The Game's version of NXT was unable to top AEW Dynamite in the Wednesday Night War, hence why we now have NXT 2.0.

Triple H is clearly on the road to recovery as he was recently spotted alongside Vince and Stephanie McMahon visiting the future site of WWE's new global headquarters. However, is there any truth to the rumour Paul Levesque is so unhappy with what's happened to NXT, he's planning to leave WWE and start his own pro wrestling promotion?

It makes for a good story, but as you might expect, this isn't accurate.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer message board, "He has serious health issues nor does he have the money to be able to start a company. This is much to do about nothing."

You never know what crazy things might happen in the world of wrestling, but Triple H jumping ship to create his own WWE/AEW rival does seem pretty ludicrous when you stop and think about it. NXT was arguably at its best in the mid to late 2010s, but even before AEW came along, the brand did start flagging somewhat.

Needless to say, we'll keep you guys updated if anything changes!
