Three title bouts will take place on the next episode of WWE SmackDown, set to go down at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Since that is the same arena as WWE Night of Champions, WWE clearly wanted to make that show feel special, loading it with lots of gold on the line.
Most importantly, Tiffany Stratton will defend her WWE Women's Championship against Nia Jax in a Last Woman Standing match. What's interesting here is not only that Stratton beat Jax to win the title in the first place via a Money in the Bank cash-in, but that Naomi has been lingering around with her Money in the Bank briefcase just the same, trying twice now to capitalize on Stratton at weak moments, only for Jax to step in and put a stop to the potential cash-in attempt. Considering how Last Woman Standing matches are built specifically around the idea that you win when you put your opponent down for a long enough time that they're incapacited for ten seconds, it's the perfect opportunity for Naomi to again try to cash in. If that happens, Stratton will have both won and lost the title via the briefcase contract cash-in idea.
Zelina Vega is also set to defend her Women's United States Championship against Giulia. Annoyingly, Vega hasn't had much time with this belt, nor any opportunities to do much with it, as she's barely been on television. Two weeks ago, it seemed she and Giulia would have a clash, only for Vega to have a quick backstage segment where she vowed to confront The Beautiful Madness tonight, yet was left entirely off the show. Instead, WWE just casually announced this match with no added buzz.
Another title match announced for next week without having any spotlight on tonight's episode is that Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis will face Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins for the WWE Tag Team Championship titles, as a result of The Wyatt Sicks beating The Motor City Machine Guns last week.
Obviously, more than just those three matches will be on the show. It is the go-home episode prior to Night of Champions, so we should get some last-minute hype for John Cena against CM Punk, the King & Queen of the Ring finals, and likely some follow-up of Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair having a tenuous friendship blooming in opposition of Chelsea Green and The Secret Hervice, but none of those things were announced in any official capacity like these three title matches.
