Several Returns On WWE SmackDown, More Returns Coming Next Week

A few WWE Superstars who have been missing in action are coming back into the fold on Friday Night SmackDown both on this week's episode and advertised for next week.

The big angle ending this week's episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown was the WWE Tag Team Championship bout between The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) against Fraxiom (Axiom and Nathan Frazer)—who, by the way, debuted new theme music tonight, which hasn't been met with much positivity online. Check it out here:

The way that match ended, more importantly, was another breakdown of the tag team division, which has been happening on a frequent basis over the past year on SmackDown. #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) decided to come out and get involved, followed by The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin), ultimately leading to a big brawl with those four teams that were taken out by The Wyatt Sicks making their return as well.

Bo Dallas, Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy and Nikki Cross wiped the floor with their competition, ending the show by blowing out the candle on a birthday cake in memory of Bray Wyatt, making their mark that they're seemingly going after the tag team titles in some fashion.

Not to get lost in the shuffle, another noteworthy thing to mention about #DIY was that Candice LeRae returned to SmackDown this week and reiterated that she is still an ally with the group, and appears to be partnered with them more prominently going forward. This isn't too much of a surprise, given how she's married to Johnny Gargano and has had ties to him her entire WWE run, but they've had plenty instances where they've stayed away from each other in storylines. There were no interactions between LeRae and Nia Jax, her former teammate, which may indicate they've been split up. LeRae was instrumental in Ciampa's victory on this episode over Chris Sabin in their singles match prior to the big mashup of the tag teams at the end of the show.

The returns aren't stopping there, though, as it was announced that Bianca Belair will be returning to SmackDown next week after taking some time off to heal her injured finger, and John Cena will also be making another one of his appearances on next week's show to address whatever happens at Saturday Night's Main Event
