Sonya Deville On Whether She Believes 2020 Could Be Her Year As Her Star Continues To Rise - EXCLUSIVE

You shouldn't need us to tell you that Sonya Deville's star is on the rise in WWE, especially as she's been killing it both on the mic and in the ring these past few weeks. It's long overdue, but it seems WWE is giving the former Fire & Desire member the push she deserves, and that could culminate in a SmackDown Women's Championship run (well, here's hoping anyway).

When we recently had the opportunity to talk to Sonya about what 2020 has been like for her, we asked whether she believes 2020 could be the year of Sonya Deville.

"Absolutely. In pro wrestling, or sports entertainment, timing is everything. Everything that I've done up until this point has led me to this exact moment, and I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. My work with tag teams has given me so much experience and a different kind of knowledge of the business through learning from Paige and working with Mandy, and Absolution and Fire & Desire."

"I just feel really good with where I am right now," Deville continued. "I feel like it's where I'm supposed to be, and that some people knew I was capable of what I'm doing lately and some people didn't. They didn't know I had a voice or something to say, and they're learning that now."

You can't blame Deville for being confident in her abilities, and she's definitely proved a lot of doubters wrong in recent months. Now, she has a chance to really prove herself as a top star in WWE, and it will be interesting seeing how the rest of 2020 now goes for her.
