Preview & Predictions for WWE Elimination Chamber 2026:
On tap for tonight's event, the primary focus is obviously going to be the two titular Elimination Chamber bouts, but there are also two other titles on the line.
Granted, I don't think there's any chance at all that Finn Balor beats CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship, particularly since Punk is already set up to face Roman Reigns, who will be on Monday Night Raw. It's a foregone conclusion, just like how I'd imagine Balor beats Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania instead.
I'm not quite sure about the Women's Intercontinental Championship, though. I'm leaning more toward Becky Lynch cheating to retain over AJ Lee, as opposed to Lee winning the title, as I think they're doing this match again at WrestleMania and if the title already changes hands, what will they do with the story?
The Women's Elimination Chamber feels, unfortunately, like this is going to Tiffany Stratton. That's a bland result considering they've already had all those matches with each other in 2025, but I guess WWE thought they'd have Bianca Belair and didn't bother to come up with a backup plan. However, with Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky just losing the tag team titles, that does open up the possibility Ripley is now free to do this. She instantly becomes the next other potential option to go with.
Cody Rhodes stands out to me as the only viable winner for the men's match, but even that is up in the air. I can't imagine it's just Rhodes against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania without Jacob Fatu and Sami Zayn involved, so how do they get attached to the title, too? Curious. Logan Paul replacing Jey Uso—who wasn't intended to win a spot in it in the first place and would have lost to Bronson Reed if The Auszilla hadn't torn his bicep during the qualifying match—was a good call, and having McIntyre cost Fatu a chance will likely factor in for the future. Because of that, I think Rhodes will win if there is a definitive winner, but it'll ultimately still somehow come back to having at least Fatu, if not also Zayn, somehow be added to the match anyway.
