WWE's run of seemingly doing no wrong has ended since WrestleMania, and fans have noticeably cooled on the product. Still. John Cena's retirement is looming, and he has some big matches on the way, both at the upcoming Clash in Paris PLE and next month's Wrestlepalooza

In our latest WWE rumour roundup, we have an update on Cena's final few months as a WWE Superstar, the latest on Stephanie Vaquer's title hopes, several minor updates about upcoming shows, and WWE's reaction to that shocking attack during a Knokx Pro event.

  • According to BodySlam.net, there's been some disagreement in WWE about who should win the planned John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar match tentatively scheduled for Wrestlepalooza
  • On a recent edition of the Dirty Sheets Wrestling Infomer podcast, it's said that Kevin Owens and Edge were among those considered for John Cena's retirement tour. However, the former is injured and the latter remains under contract with AEW.
  • The podcast also claimed that timing constraints mean Cena will no longer face one of his greatest rivals from the 2010s: AJ Styles.

  • FOX 13 in Salt Lake City recently shared an article revealing that Utah will be home to a special Halloween edition of SmackDown and the November 1 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. It's since been deleted.
  • According to Fightful, NXT PLEs will remain on Peacock, despite WWE's recent deal with ESPN. There's been some chatter about the rights to them being up for grabs, but nothing is happening. Yet.
  • Netflix has listed RAW with a 7pm ET start time starting September 15. It's not clear whether that's a one-off, a permanent change, or a mistake.

  • Over the weekend, a Knokx Pro event saw Raja Jackson, the son of MMA legend Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, enter the ring and legitimately knock out a wrestler named Syko Stu. The attack continued even while Stu was unconscious, and he was later rushed to the hospital, where he's stable but in critical care. The police are now investigating.
  • While not confirmed, Knokx Pro has been removed from WWE's Talent Recruitment website, meaning it's no longer counted among the company's official partner training centres.

  • As rumours continue to swirl about a possible Cody Rhodes heel turn, it's worth noting that the American Nightmare was heavily booed by fans in Birmingham, England, during last night's RAW:
