Preview & Predictions for WWE SmackDown:
On tap for today's episode, there will be a tag team gauntlet with the winners earning a title shot for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 41. Who will face Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez? It could be Katana Chance and Kayden Carter, The Secret Hervice, Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark, Lyra Valkyria and Bayley, Maxxine Dupri and Natalya, or B-Fab and Michin. My money is on Bayley and Valkyria.
Rey Fenix will face Berto, who is looking to prove himself better to impress Santos Escobar, who was gushing over Fenix's debut last week. Of course, the smart bet is on Fenix, as it's highly doubtful WWE will have him lose this quickly, and to someone like Humberto Carrillo of all people, who doesn't have the greatest win-loss record.
Cody Rhodes is set to appear, wherein he will be cutting another promo about John Cena to hype up the main event of WrestleMania Sunday. Whether or not he gets into any kind of scuffle with anyone is probably slim, but it's always a possibility.
Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest will also have a face-to-face, and this will help build their match for WrestleMania, which was confirmed earlier today. It'd be shocking if they didn't end up fighting each other, as the last time they were in the same arena together, McIntyre ended up on top of a car with glass in his eye. He'll be looking to get some revenge.
Speaking of revenge, we should see the fallout of Randy Orton hitting SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis with an RKO from last week. Will we find out Orton's replacement opponent for WrestleMania? Maybe!
Here are your results for WWE SmackDown - April 11, 2025:
- Nick Aldis started the show inviting Randy Orton to the ring. Orton talked about how he's going to need to have some kind of a match at WrestleMania, even if that means Aldis has to lace up his boots. Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga interrupted, and LA Knight backed up Orton for a fight, leading to an announcement of a tag team match for later.
- Women's Tag Team Gauntlet No. 1 Contenders Match: Lyra Valkyria and Bayley defeated Pure Fusion Collective (Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark), followed by Natalya and Maxxine Dupri, followed by Katana Chance and Kayden Carter, followed by B-Fab and Michin, and lastly, Alba Fyre and Piper Niven to earn the Women's Tag Team Championship title shot for WrestleMania 41 against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
- Drew McIntyre revealed that his eye is 100% cleared and had a fight where he took out Damian Priest ahead of their Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania.
- #DIY complained backstage while looking at a monitor of their match against Motor City Machine Guns, saying that they were screwed by the referee. Pretty Deadly said they're out of their mind. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin then approached Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa to say this isn't a conspiracy, it's karma.
- Rey Fenix defeated Berto by pinfall.
- Roxanne Perez was backstage to trash talk Tiffany Stratton, eventually leading to Stratton challenging Perez to a match tonight.
- Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green by count-out.
- Backstage, Santos Escobar berated Humberto Carrillo about how Rey Fenix proved himself the better man. Eventually, Andrade came over to tell Berto that he's also a great wrestler, and Berto told him to mind his own business.
- Naomi and Jade Cargill had opposing vignettes trash talking each other and hyping up their WrestleMania match.
- Cody Rhodes had an in-ring promo about John Cena while surrounded by some of the old WWE Championship title belts.
- Tiffany Stratton defeated Roxanne Perez by pinfall. Charlotte Flair attacked Stratton after the match.
- LA Knight and Randy Orton defeated Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga by pinfall. Jacob Fatu then attacked Knight after the match while Orton fought with Sikoa.
