All eyes will be on Friday night's episode of AEW Rampage, especially with all signs pointing to CM Punk making his All Elite Wrestling debut on the show.

Darby Allin has teased some sort of confrontation with the "Best in the World," a promo that was played again during Rampage's premiere hyping up the show in Chicago's United Center. Punk chose his words carefully when he was recently asked about possibly joining AEW, but teased fans with a throwaway comment during Saturday's Cage Fury Fight Championships' CFFC 99.

Punk was calling the action alongside John Morgan, and when he started talking about wrestling and prodding the former WWE Champion he responded that the fighter "[is] looking all elite right now!"

At this point, the Best in the World could just be teasing fans for the hell of it, but it feels like this is really happening. If so, it's going to be a huge win for AEW and another blow to WWE. Even seven years on from his last pro wrestling match, Punk remains a massive draw, and the ratings for Friday night's episode of Rampage should be well worth keeping an eye on.
