Cody Returns With A New Look On AEW DYNAMITE And Takes Out The Dark Order's Number 5

A big return was rumored for last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, and sure enough, The American Nightmare made his way to the ring after Brodie Lee defeated Orange Cassidy to wreak havoc on The Dark Order.

Cody made his return last night on AEW Dynamite after being out of action for the past three weeks following a brutal beat-down from Mr. Brodie Lee and his Dark Order.

Lee had just defeated Orange Cassidy to retain the TNT Championship when the lights dimmed and Cody's entrance music hit. The Exalted One made a quick exit as the now fark-haired American Nightmare made his way to the ring and attacked the members of the Dark Order still present.

John Silver was taken out with a Cody Cutter before Number 5 found himself tapping like a madman to a Figure-4.

Afterwards, Lee cut a backstage promo in which he appeared to challenge Cody to a dog-collar match. That hasn't been made official, but he did say he was going to put a massive leather collar around Rhodes' neck, so unless he's developed a fairly kinky fetish, we'll assume the former!

At any rate, it's great to see Cody back with a more aggressive attitude. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to regain the TNT Title from Lee, but we should be in for a couple of exciting matches at least.
