Former NXT GM William Regal Signs With AEW...And Joins Forces With Bryan Danielson And Jon Moxley!

In what could prove to be one of AEW's smartest signings yet, last night's AEW Revolution PPV saw the "All Elite" debut of William Regal, and it appears he'll manage Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley's tag team.

While many of you may remember William Regal best for his time in the ring and serving as the General Manager of shows like RAW and NXT, he was also WWE's Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting from 2018 until his release in 2022, an important role that saw Regal bring a lot of hugely talented pro wrestlers into the company.

When NXT became NXT 2.0, it appeared his vision no longer aligned with WWE's, and his release was declared a total blunder by many pundits.

Well, WWE's loss is AEW's gain; while we don't know whether Regal will have a role behind the scenes, he debuted during last night's AEW Revolution PPV as the apparent manager of Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley's tag team. The latter picked up a fluke win over the American Dragon, and while a fight ensued, Regal got between the two men and slapped them both.

He made comments that echoed what Danielson has been saying in recent weeks, and it looks like we're getting a heel faction that will take aim at AEW's younger talent. Something tells us Bryan and Mox will clash again somewhere down the line, but this is an intriguing twist in the tale...

AEW is the real NXT 2.0. WWE are a bunch of morons for letting all this amazing talent go.

This was for me the match of the night. William Regal was the cherry on top.

I wanted it to be CM Punk Vs MJF, that match had the best build up and what I wanted to see most but it ended up being my second or third favourite.
