Maxwell Jacob Freedman is still the All Elite Wrestling world heavyweight champion after defeating Bryan Danielson in an epic 60-minute Iron Man match to main event AEW's Revolution PPV.

We didn't expect MJF to lose his title so soon after winning it from Jon Moxley, but at the same time, nobody really thought he'd manage to defeat the American Dragon in this sort of bout.

This was an excellently paced contest, and never once felt boring or drawn-out despite going for over an hour. Dragon was busted open about halfway through, and MJF followed suit (seemingly accidentally) when he was hit with a diving headbutt.

With things tied at 3 falls a piece, Max managed to hold on in a single leg crab until the time ran out, meaning he retained the title. However, Tony Khan then announced that the match wasn't going to end in a draw, and it restarted under sudden death rules.

Danielson appeared to have it in the bag, but Freedman used an oxygen tank to stun his opponent before putting the LaBelle Lock on and forcing Bryan to tap-out to his own hold.

So, MJF is still champ, but he may find himself in some trouble for throwing water on a kid who was sitting ringside and was not believed to be a plant!
