Ross Von Erich and Marshall Von Erich are officially All Elite.
That might sound strange considering the fact that these two currently hold the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Titles with Dustin Rhodes, but it's possible that their deals weren't full time. The Von Erichs confirmed their AEW status on the Claw podcast.
"Today, on this day, we can officially say that Ross and Marshall Von Erich are officially signed with AEW. The 12 year journey, it's not an expensive hobby anymore," said Marshall.
Ross followed by saying, "This is kind of the thing we've been working towards our whole careers. We knew it would be on a big major scale, and this meets every parameter with that. It means a lot for the Von Erich family and, not to kiss Tony [Khan's] butt, but he kind of single-handedly is keeping the Von Erich name and dream alive for us. He's going to have our loyalty forever because of that. More than anything, we're super excited for this day."
The Von Erichs haven’t wrestled since September 25th. That’s because Marshall suffered a torn pec that has kept him out of action. Dustin has shifted his focus onto tag team wrestling with Sammy Guevara, with the duo coming off a clean win over HOUSE OF TORTURE at Wrestle Dynasty. Marshall confirmed that he was 100% healed on the same podcast.
"I'm 100%," he said when asked how he's feeling. "I was hurt. I was hurt in September, I partially ripped my pec. Ross and I have been training like crazy. Honestly, I feel like I'm in the best shape I've ever felt. I needed to lose some weight anyway. I was getting pretty heavy. I was just bulking up and overdoing it to a point where my muscles were getting really tense. It's good for me to be a little lighter so I can stretch and be flexible because I'm naturally a pretty stiff person."
At the moment, there’s no word on when the Von Erichs could return. Though congratulations to the third generation wrestlers for signing an AEW deal. It would be nice to get some new blood in the AEW Tag Team division and bringing them in will certainly help. There were reports that the Von Erichs were also in talks with WWE, but clearly, those plans fell through. No reason was given though on why they opted to sign with AEW over WWE.
