We're still not sure what's going on in WWE, but more releases have been made today, this time in NXT. As expected, the response on social media has been overwhelmingly negative, and we're sure you'll understand why after reading some of the names that are listed here.

Those confirmed to be released are:

  • Asher Hale
  • Ari Sterling
  • Bobby Fish
  • Bronson Reed
  • Jake Atlas
  • Kona Reeves
  • Leon Ruff
  • Mercedes Martinez
  • Tyler Rust

There are definitely some big surprises there, though Reed has to be the most shocking name of the bunch. He recently lost the North American Championship and had dark matches on the main roster. Reed even talked in interviews about possibly moving up and his dream to compete on shows like SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble

Adam Cole could be next to leave (he was reportedly set to meet with Vince McMahon during last night's SmacKDown to potentially discuss a new contract), but there's been no update on that.

According to PWInsider.com, big changes could be on the way to NXT, including a new logo, new lighting, and a greater focus on younger talent. That comes in a week where AEW Dynamite once again drew over 1 million viewers compared to NXT's 520,000 viewers.
