During last night's RAW, it was finally decided that Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar will meet at SummerSlam inside Hell in a Cell. Two days after becoming the 2026 King of the Ring, The Ruler laid down the challenge to The Beast, but it was Lesnar who demanded that their clash take place inside the foreboding steel structure.
While not confirmed, many believe that this SummerSlam match will mark Lesnar's true retirement bout. Femi defeated him at WrestleMania 42, prompting the former UFC star to leave his gloves in the ring and seemingly retire.
However, Lesnar returned to viciously attack Femi on RAW before ultimately beating him in a rematch at Clash in Italy. That made them 1-1, and this third clash will be the decider. What's really interesting is that Femi has given up his chance, for now, at least, to challenge for a world title at SummerSlam.
Also, during RAW, we learned that World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will put his title on the line against Seth Rollins at the upcoming two-night PLE. Despite some brief post-Shield reunions, the two have not seen eye-to-eye since Reigns became The Tribal Chief, and Rollins is now looking to regain the title he never lost after being injured last year.
WWE seems to have closed the door on his feud with Bron Breakker after their Steel Cage match at Night of Champions, freeing him up to face the OTC in the match many fans expected, which, before Rollins' injury, would take place at this past April's WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.
On Saturday, it was also confirmed that IYO SKY will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women's World Championship at SummerSlam after being named Queen of the Ring.
Plans for the Undisputed WWE Championship and WWE Women's Championship have not been revealed yet, but both titles are expected to have a prominent place on the card.
SummerSlam, a special two-night event, streams on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, Aug. 2, at 6 ET/3 PT on the ESPN App with an ESPN Unlimited plan in the United States and on Netflix internationally.
