The Opera Cup will make its return.

Major League Wrestling has confirmed that the tournament will take place again this year. The competition made its return in 2019 with MJF, Alex Hammerstone, TJP, Brian Pillman Jr., Davey Boy Smith Jr., Low Ki, Timothy Thatcher, Richard Holliday, and Tom Lawlor fighting to win the elimination style tournament.

In the end, Davey Boy Smith Jr. emerged victorious over fellow Dynasty Hart member Brian Pillman Jr. While no names or dates have been confirmed just yet, MLW is teasing that the CONTRA Unit will have a huge role in the upcoming event.

Before the coronavirus pandemic hit, The CONTRA Unit has been a huge focus in Major League Wrestling and it doesn’t seem to have changed plans as their restart campaign highlighted the dangerous faction. MLW is still not running any new shows at the moment; however, their relaunch is planned to take place sometime in the fall.

We’ll keep you updated on the situation surrounding Major League Wrestling as more news comes out.
