Former Cruiserweight champion TJP sat down and spoke with Sportskeeda about his time with the WWE and recalls wrestling on 205 Live.

The cruiserweight show was created back in November 2016 and while 205 Live has seen a vast improvement since the days of Vince McMahon behind the show as a creative force, television’s most thrilling hour continues to struggle on the WWE network.

TJP states during the interview how he fell out of love with wrestling while on the cruiserweight show. While there are varying reasons why many cruiserweights would be frustrated with the struggling brand, the former cruiserweight champion’s reasoning stems from dealing with the producer and creative:

"My favorite times were dealing with Vince or Hunter directly. They were always kind and fair. But dealing with the 205 producer and creative was miserable. I used to love wrestling. For 20 years, I loved it. Never fell out of love with it until 205. No matter how bad life was before, I always looked forward to going to the ring for 5-30 minutes on any given night, any given year. But the last few years, I would show up to the arena and wonder how my match that night will be wrestled for me, through a referee's two-way headset. I would be in the ring and often be watching the match unfold just like anyone else on the other side of the guard rail."

The former 205 Live star has been pretty busy since his departure from the company back in February. Check out the full interview where he addresses his future in wrestling, his relationship with Vince McMahon and Triple H, and much more.
