WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross On Why He Believes Brock Lesnar's UFC Return Is Inevitable

Is Brock Lesnar once again UFC bound? If recent rumours are to be believed, yes, but there's still been no official word on the chances of the current WWE Universal Champion returning to the Octagon. If it is happening, it won't be until much later this year or 2018 at the soonest but The Beast returning to UFC does make a whole lot of sense.

One person who agrees with that statement is Jim Ross, WWE Hall of Famer and the man responsible for bringing Brock to WWE in the first place. Here's what he had to say on his blog:

"Yes, I do think that Brock Lesnar will again fight in the UFC because he can generate a giant, payday(s) for his family and, I assume, would still maintain a positive relationship with WWE. Seems like this matter of Lesnar’s return to UFC is inevitable and should be a win/win for all involved as it relates to the cash (and it’s all about the cash). Winning or losing a UFC fight won’t hamper Lesnar’s value to WWE in the least to my way of thinking. Based on what I know, I see no reason that a Lesnar return to UFC would cease Brock’s WWE paydays over the long haul."

While WWE shied away from talking too much about Lesnar's victory after the controversy surrounding a failed drug test, his return to UFC definitely brought more eyes to the company and SummerSlam in particular. The same happening again would be no bad thing for WWE, especially if Vince McMahon can use that to get more appearances out of Brock.

We'll just have to wait and see but the signs definitely appear to be pointing to a UFC return for Lesnar. The question is, will that mark his retirement from the sport or lead to even more fights?
