Could we see a new NXT Champion?
Oba Femi is in a unique situation as the NXT Champion will defend his title in a triple threat match. Femi is no stranger to triple threat matches. In fact, that's where he won the belt in the first place. However, his opponents are very close allies who have been teaming together for nearly two years.
Theory is a former United States Champion, so holding a singles title is nothing new for him. Though him and Grayson Waller are former WWE Tag Team Champions, the two have been showing signs of dissension for quite a while. Oba Femi exposed the cracks within the duo this past Tuesday. Will the relationship between Waller and Theory dissolve tonight? Or will one of the Smackdown stars become the new NXT Champion?
In Giulia’s first title defense, she’ll defend the NXT Women’s Championship in a four way match that includes two former women’s champions (Bayley and Roxxanne Perez) and a contender that’s hungry to be the next big thing. Bayley and Roxanne Perez have their very own issues going on and Cora Jade proved that she’s fighting alone when she attacked everyone at the women’s summit. Giulia has her work cut out for her tonight; can the NXT Women’s Champion overcome the odds and retain her title?
In an extremely personal match, Je’Von Evans will go one-on-one against Ethan Page. This whole rivalry started when the former NXT Champion violently attacked Evans and put him on the shelf for the last couple of weeks. Page has been a destructive and demented force since the heinous attack. This match is about revenge for Evans. This match is an opportunity to put Evans in his place for good and move onto the NXT Championship for Page.
