On IMPACT Friday night,
Johnny Impact explained why he double crossed Brian Cage the previous week, basically blaming the fans for their disloyalty to him. Despite screwing over the former X-Division champion, Impact confirmed that he’ll defend his world title against Cage at the Rebellion pay-per-view on April 28.
During the company’s tapings over the weekend, a special guest referee was confirmed for the main event, which will be former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Lance Storm.
The former WWE/WCW star revealed earlier this month that he would be working as a producer during the Windsor tapings for the promotion this past weekend. At the moment, the position isn’t permeant as Storm is just testing the waters with his role as a producer, but Storm did make it clear that if he does indeed like the job then he would be happy to jump on board long term.
