Velvet Sky and Angelina are being inducted into the 2025 Hall of Fame!
The original TNA Knockouts were thrown for a loop during a recent call with Tommy Dreamer when the TNA President joined the interview. Carlos Silva revealed the good news himself by confirming that Love and Sky were being inducted in the 2025 Hall of Fame.
It's very much deserved for the former TNA stars as The Beautiful People really helped launch the knockouts division in 2007. Not surprisingly, Love and Sky were emotional and grateful about the surprising news and these two are scheduled to join the likes of Kurt Angle, Sting, and Jeff Jarrett during Bound For Glory weekend.
Love and Sky rejoined Busted Open and discussed entering the prestigious Hall of Fame.
Love: “I mean, it’s wild. I may mention this in my speech as well, spoiler alert. But I kind of had a bucket list when I first got into wrestling, but being in a Hall of Fame was never on that bucket list and I think it’s because I didn’t even think that was attainable. So, I’ve been able to be honored with something that is beyond what I ever could achieve in this business so, it is incredibly cool. It is so cool and it’s such an honor too.”
Sky: “To have our legacy cemented and forever etched in TNA history, literally is a dream. I mean, it’s so nice to be recognized and to be honored by the company that gave us our shot, that gave us our big break. Not only as The Beautiful People but as individuals too; Velvet Sky, Angelina Love. We’ve accomplished so much as a tag team. Always hoped, one day, TNA would give us this highest honor.
It’s just one of the most humbling honors and experiences of my career and our career personally, professionally. It’s what you work your whole youth for in hopes to just have your legacy be recognized and cemented and honored, and forever in company history so it is a huge honor and humbling experience for us both and we are so excited about October 12th.”
The Beautiful People were an act from 2007-2015 in TNA. Their last match as a duo was in 2015. Sky accompanied Love to the ring for a tag team match at the 1,000th episode of IMPACT Wrestling in 2023. The duo also competed in ROH as The Allure.
Mickie James will also be inducted into the 2025 TNA Hall of Fame. In addition to James and the names mentioned above, the former TNA Knockouts will join Earl Hebner, Gail Kim, Abyss, Ken Shamrock, Awesome Kong, Raven, Raven, Tracy Brooks, Rhino & Bob Ryder, Team 3D, Mike Tenay & Don West in their Hall of Fame.
