Will Eddie Edwards win the Impact World Championship?

To the surprise of many in 2016, Eddie Edwards defeated Bobby Lashley in a six sides of steel match to become the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Mostly known as a tag team competitor, the former TNA World Tag Team Champion’s rise to the main event scene was a welcome change.

Edwards would eventually drop the title back to Lashley in a 30-minute Ironman match a couple months later and since then, the 36-year-old has been unable to recapture the prestigious belt despite being given numerous opportunities.

This Saturday, Edwards is hoping to reclaim what he lost three years ago, the Impact World Championship. There’s a reason why the veteran opted to stay in the promotion, which was to be back on top of the mountain once again. In his final promo before the summer pay-per-view, Edwards speaks about what it’ll mean to win the Impact World Championship at Slammiversary. Check it out:
