Eddie Edwards will get a chance at redemption on Oct. 3.
The former Impact World Champion made his surprisng return by saving Scott D’Amore from a vicious attack by Eric Young. Prior to the attempted beatdown, Young blamed D'Amore, Rich Swann, and Edwards for his actions over the past several months, and the crazed champion promised to finally put an end to Swann at Bound For Glory.
However, in order for Young to get to Bound For Glory, he has to make it past Eddie Edwards first. The 43-year-old only got the victory over Edwards by clocking the former champion with a weapon as the ref was distracted. Young did try to permenantly injure Edwards by severely damaging his leg.
Edwards is surely looking for revenge, but more importantly, a chance to become the two-time Impact World Champion. It took the 36-year-old three long years to finally reach the top of the mountain again; Will it take just one month for Eddie Edwards to become the top dog this time? Or Will Eric Young officially shut down the veteran's last opportunity at the belt? We'll find out at the special Impact Plus event on Oct. 3!
