The fight between former world champions isn’t over.
The past couple of weeks, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion has been dealing with The Northern Armory. Following Joe Hendry’s win over Travis Williams, Young turned on both Williams and Judas Icarus by hitting them with two piledrivers each.
That sparked a match between Icarus and Young the following week and Mr. Hendry distracted Eric during the match, which allowed Judas to get a roll-up win over the TNA veteran. That pissed off Young, who attacked the referee for allowing the three count to happen.
This Friday, Eric and Joe will settle their differences once and for all. Young jumped in Santino’s face about a match against Joe Hendry and it was granted. For now, the bout is just a regular wrestling match, though it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if a gimmick was added later on tonight.
Meanwhile, the TNA Knockouts Championship match between Ash by Elegance and Masha Slamovich has been taken off the Victory Road card. Yesterday, the former TNA Knockouts Champion came under fire when a mass of texts were released that claims her ex AKIRA suffered emotional and physical abuse. TNA released a brief statement that they were looking into the matter. Several other indie promotions pulled the 27-year-old from their match card. As such, the TNA Knockouts Championship match has been pulled from Victory Road on Friday. There's no word on whether TNA plans on replacing Slamovich with a different opponent.
Masha did release a statement on the incident, but outside of that tweet, she’s been relatively silent about the whole situation.
