Former four-time Impact World Tag Team Champions LAX (Santana & Ortiz) will officially become free agents once their contracts expire at the end of the month. The duo wrestled their last match during the Mexico tapings and were given a nice send-off after their match against Rich Swann & Willie Mack.
Now that both men are finished up the promotion, speculation has run rampant on where both Santana and Ortiz could end up in the future. AEW and WWE are the two destinations that have been linked for the duo and while the tag team never states where they’re going, they do indicate where they might go next (transcript courtesy of
fightful.com):
"We're at a weird time where our contracts came up, right at a crazy time in wrestling”. Ortiz states during the interview.
“Of course people are talking about Wednesday night now. We just happen to be, as far as name-value, one of the bigger ones for our contracts to come up. People won't be disappointed with our decision."
Santana added,
"Not only that, just know that, if you know anything about our careers and what we've done to this point and what we did to get to this point, we're about making history."
