Steve Maclin gets a chance to win back the International title.
At Victory Road, Frankie Kazarian pulled off a huge win by beating the inaugural International Champion. But the finish wasn’t a clean one. El Mesias came out to interfere, but Maclin took care of him quickly. When the former International Champion came back into the ring, Kazarian kicked the ropes and got the pin with a slingshot stunner.
Kazarian has been a huge thorn at Maclin’s side and now he’s finally achieved beating the former TNA World Champion. This is Kazarian’s first title in TNA/Impact since 2022 when he won the X-Division belt for the sixth time in his career.
That win effectively ended the 162-day title run of Maclin which saw him beat the likes of Eric Young, Jake Something, Mance Warner, and Matt Cardona. However, he’ll have a chance at recapturing his title in less than two weeks as TNA has confirmed a rematch between Maclin and Kazarian at Bound For Glory.
The October 12th pay-per-view is quickly approaching and the card is nicely taking shape. Thus far, five championship matches have been confirmed for the upcoming show with Leon Slater vs. Je’Von Evans and Kelani Jordan vs. Mike Santana recently added to the big event. The Hardys will defend the TNA World Tag Team Championships against Team 3D (Bully Ray & D-Von Dudley) in a Tables match. Mike Santana vs. Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship is expected to headline Bound For Glory.
