It's starting to become very clear that Alberto El Patron, AKA former WWE Superstar Alberto del Rio, has some serious issues to deal with.

Following yet another rant against Triple H and The WWE, the new GBW Champion has found himself detained by Orlando police after an incident at an airport, and is currently under investigation for domestic violence battery. Eyewitness reports indicate that he "roughed up" a female companion, though there is no confirmation that it was his fiance, Paige.

PWInsider received the following statement from The Orlando Police Department:

"There was an incident at Orlando International Airport at about 3 p.m. Sunday involving Jose Rodriguez (DOB 5/25/1977) The reported incident was a domestic violence battery, and it is still under investigation. No arrests have been made as of this time, but the case remains open. That is all the information we have for release at this time."

It remains to be seen if this has any impact (no pun intended) on his current standing as Global Force Wrestling champ, but the company has released a statement of their own, promising that it "takes all legal situations very seriously and is looking into this matter."

We'll update as soon as we know more.
