GLOW Featurette Packs In A Tonne Of New Footage From Netflix's Critically Acclaimed Female Wrestling Series
GLOW doesn't begin streaming on Netflix until Friday, but you can get another small helping of the "Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling" right here with this new featurette, which also includes BTS interviews...
Netflix's new wrestling drama series, GLOW, has been getting rave reviews ahead of its premiere on June 23, and the streaming service has now released a new featurette which includes new footage from the show, as well as interviews with several cast and crew members.
Yes, that is indeed Chavo Guerrero training the ladies in the finer points of pro-wrestling.
GLOW is actually inspired by the real story of 1980s wrestling league "Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling", and will focus on Ruth (Alison Brie), an out-of-work actress who is given one last chance to live her dreams. The series kicks off with Ruth getting to grips with her new life as a wrestler, while also learning to coexist her new colleagues: former soap actress Debbie Eagan (Gilpin), and trainer Sam Sylvia (Maron).
The show is the latest from Orange Is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and producer Tara Herrmann, and was developed by Nurse Jackie producer Liz Flahive.
