It’s official, the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championships are coming back!

Earlier this year, Impact revamped their knockouts division by adding names such as Nevah, Kimber Lee, Tasha Steelz, and Deonna Purrazzo to their loaded roster. Since then, the company has heavily teased a return of the belts by putting together several teams such as Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz and now, the prestigious belts will make their return.

The belts were first introduced back in 2009 and Sarita and Taylor Wilde beat The Beautiful People to become the inaugural champions. Since then, talents such as Gail Kim, Tara (WWE’s Victoria), Awesome Kong, and ODB held the titles at one point in their careers; however, the belts disappeared once ODB and Eric Young were forced to vacate their belts in 2012.

At the moment, there appears to be a tournament to crown the new champions, though nothing has been confirmed except that new title holders will be determined at Hard To Kill in January 2021. We’ll keep you updated when more news comes to light about the titles.
