Former NXT Superstar Deonna Purrazzo made her Impact Wrestling debut to close out last night's episode, making her intentions clear by targeting current Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.

Grace had just picked up a victory over former champion Taya Valkryie with a sleeper hold when The Virtuosa's music hit, and she made her way to the ring. After first offering her hand as a sign of respect, she transitioned into a vicious armbar which left Jordynne writhing in agony.

It seems clear that Purazzo will soon be challenging for the title, and Fightful suggests that the company has plans to push her as a main event star beyond this initial feud with Grace. That's hardly surprising given Deonna's talent, but it does seem to contradict a recent report that she has yet to sign a full-time contract with Impact.

We assume things have changed in that regard, because it would be unusual for any promotion to push a wrestler to that level if they still hadn't fully committed to a deal.
