Earlier this week, we learned that Rey Mysterio might be about to make his Impact Wrestling debut. The former WWE Superstar has been in talks with them since the summer of 2017 but the signs finally appeared to be pointing toward him showing up in the company in time for this week's tapings in Orlando. That didn't happen but a new report points to it very nearly becoming a reality.
Apparently, travel arrangements were even put in place for Mysterio but the agreement fell through and he's now travelling to Mexico which means that there's no chance he'll be at the tapings.
Talks between the two sides are seemingly continuing, though, and there's a very good chance this boiled down to a money issue.Impact Wrestling could do with a big name star like Mysterio and it would definitely be interesting to see him there, especially as it's not a promotion he's performed in before now.
