We haven't seen or heard from "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry since he allegedly instigated a fight with CM Punk at AEW All In which resulted in the Best in the World being fired.
However, he made a surprise appearance during last night's NJPW Battle in the Valley event when he attacked Shota Umino following a six-man tag team match which saw Umino, Fred Rosser, and Jacob Fatu defeat Jorel Nelson, Royce Isaacs and Tom Lawlor.
After the attack, Perry revealed himself by removing his mask and proceeded to tear up his AEW contract before putting on an armband with "SCAPEGOAT" written on it. It's unclear whether this is a work, but we wouldn't be remotely surprised if Tony Khan is keeping Perry around even after his action led to AEW losing its biggest draw to WWE.
Check out his surprise appearance in the X post below.
This wasn't the night's only big pro wrestling debut, however. During TNA's Hard To Kill PPV, Moose defeated Alex Shelley with a powerbomb to become the new TNA World Champion. However, it was then that former WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler/Nic Nemeth showed up, attaching the babyface to set the stage for a future match.
He was even wearing TNA t-shirt suggesting that, despite recently making his own NJPW appearance, he's chosen to sign a contract with the company formerly known as IMPACT Wrestling.
Elsewhere in the show, another released WWE star AJ Francis/Top Dolla appeared during the pre-show and Danae Brook - now calling herself Ash By Elegance - was featured in the crowd to set the stage for her own upcoming TNA debut.
