WWE has released a lot of talented wrestlers since the pandemic started, but one of the biggest shockers was the decision to fire The IIconics, a.k.a. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. The two women took it in their stride, though, and have since rebranded their tag team as The IInspiration.
While wrestling fans waited with bated breath to see where the two women would land (now using the names Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee), they debuted in IMPACT Wrestling at the Bound For Glory PPV earlier this year. There, they managed to defeat Decay (Havok and Rosemary) to win the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championship.
The future looks bright for the two women and it's a real shame IMPACT no longer has a working relationship with AEW or we could have potentially seen The IInspiration appear there too. There's a lot of ground for them to cover in this company, though, and IMPACT definitely takes its women's tag team division more seriously than WWE (where they had a forgettable run with the titles).
