Since entering Impact Wrestling back in 2015, Trevor Lee has proved over and over again how talented of a wrestled he is. Lee is a former TNA Tag Team Champion with Brian Myers (Curt Hawkins from WWE), grabbing the gold nearly a month after his debut.

He’s also a three time X Division Champion, having defeated talents such as Tigre Uno, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards, or Zema Ion (DJZ). Lee defeated Sonjay Dutt on September 14th to begin his third title reign and has held it for an impressive 113 days; however, a X Division star has been making a name for himself in the promotion, and tonight, Taiji Ishimori has proven that he’s the future of X Division by defeating Trevor Lee for the title!

Ishimori came from independent promotion Pro Wrestling Noah, in which he currently holds the record of being its longest-reigning GHC Junior Heavyweight Champion (of which he is a three-time holder), as well as a five-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. Ishimori debuted with Impact back at Slammiversary XV, competing in the fatal four way tag team championship match for the GFW Tag Team titles. This is Ishimori’s first title reign.
