Rich Swann has been X-Division Champion since capturing the title back at Homecoming in a wild Ultimate X in January, and that result didn’t change at Slammiversary as he was able to defeat former Impact World Champion Johnny Impact.

The match was full of impressive moments including a corkscrew dive onto the floor by Swann and two Spanish flies’ (one from the turnbuckle and the other was standing) from Impact, with a strong nearfall coming from the former Impact World Champion connecting with his signature move, starship pain.

In the end, Swann was able to connect with two cutters and then a Phoenix Splash to score the clean pin over Johnny.
