The Chris Bey benefit show is really shaping up to be something special.
In late October 2024, the TNA star suffered a major injury during the company’s television tapings that resulted in him breaking his neck. There was actually a point where the former TNA World Tag Team Champion was paralyzed due to how severe the injury was.
Thankfully, Chris Bey is making progress as the 29-year-old has just released a video of him being able to walk.
However, his future in professional wrestling does remain in question. With the huge amounts of bills that Bey has to deal with, FSW announced last month that they were holding a special benefit show on March 23.
Some AEW names are scheduled to appear; as former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, Brian Cage, and Johnny TV are being advertised for the event. Below is the full list of names that are confirmed for the Future Stars of Wrestling benefit show:
- Swerve Strickland
- John Morrison (Johnny TV)
- Rich Swann
- Danny Limelight
- Sam Adonis
- Brittnie Brooks
- Brooke Havok
- Brian Cage
- Rhyno
- Ace Austin
- Trey Miguel
- Alex Zayne
- Kenny King
- Ice Williams
- Brittnie Brooks
- AEW Ref Rick Knox
- New Japan Ref Justin Borden
- Announcer Melissa Santos
Thus far, no matches are confirmed, but it should be a great show given the talent involved. Bey has consistently updated fans about his progress and he remains in high spirits despite the freak accident. Hopefully, he’s able to make a full recovery and return to the ring as he’s a very talented star that was on the rise in TNA.
