Mickie James and The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky) are being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame next week!
All three women certainly deserve to be put alongside some of the greatest names to step foot into the wrestling business, but the remaining question has been: who will induct all three of these ladies?
Well, that question has been answered and it’s been confirmed that former WWE and TNA Knockouts Tara (aka Victoria) will induct Mickie James. The former TNA Knockouts Champion confirmed the news herself by personally requesting Lisa to induct her.
Mickie and Tara/Victoria have fought both in WWE and TNA. Their rivalry was more so rooted in TNA with these women having several memorable bouts including a steel cage and fall count anywhere match.
In terms of Velvet Sky and Angelina Love, it was announced that Tommy Dreamer will induct the Beautiful People duo. While those three don’t share much history on screen, Dreamer was an instrumental figure in Velvet and Angelina’s life. The latter was Tommy’s first hire and the former ECW star helped develop them as performers throughout their careers. Dreamer spoke about how he feels about all three women joining the TNA Hall of Fame.
The TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame ceremony is Sunday, October 12, at Bound For Glory, which will air live around the world from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Mass.
The Beautiful People and Mickie James will join Sting, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, Earl Hebner, Gail Kim, Abyss, Ken Shamrock, Awesome Kong, Raven, Raven, Tracy Brooks, Rhino & Bob Ryder, Team 3D, Mike Tenay & Don West in their Hall of Fame.
There’s no word on whether James or The Beautiful People will make an appearance at the big show. TNA will hold their annual Call Your Shot Gauntlet match, so that’s a prime opportunity to put the Hall of Famers on the card, but it’s not necessarily a thing they need to do. Nevertheless, it’s impressive that TNA is honoring the knockouts this year and Dreamer is correct, James, Sky, and Love all helped with the growth and development of the TNA knockouts division.
