Could we see a pair of new champions?
It was confirmed last week that Joe Hendry would defend his TNA World Championship against Jake Something. Despite being in TNA since 2017, Jake Something has not won any title within the promotion. However, the 35-year-old shouldn’t be counted out as he’s a high level competitor outside of TNA.
Jake Something has won multiple world titles including the AAW Heavyweight Championship and BCW Heavyweight Championship. Coming in, Something has yet to lose a singles match in 2025. Will Joe Hendry’s title reign become one of the shortest in the company’s history?
Masha Slamovich will be tested once again as she’ll defend her Knockouts title against Savannah Evans. Since winning the belt at Bound For Glory, Slamovich has successfully defended it five times. Coming in, Masha has some huge momentum, but Evans pulling out the win in the number one contender's match was the opportunity that she needed. Though she wasn’t in title contention beforehand, Evans’ display of raw power and strength last week put her in a lucrative position that could see Savannah win the first title in her TNA career.
In his final match, former Impact World Champion Josh Alexander will face Eric Young. Young turned on Alexander several weeks ago. The reasoning? The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion didn’t like Josh Alexander turning his back on the Northern Armory and decided to take over the leadership position. For Alexander, this isn't about pride or championships, it’s about revenge. For Eric Young, it’s about proving why he deserves to be the new found leader of the Northern Armory.
