We May Finally Know Where Former WWE Superstar Braun Strowman Is Heading Following Recent Release

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Braun Strowman (Adam Scherr) is in talks to join the IMPACT Wrestling roster. Nothing has been signed yet, but this seems like a fitting destination for the Monster Among Men following his WWE release earlier this year.

Fans were shocked when the former Universal Champion was wished the best in his future endeavours by WWE, especially as he'd recently been in the main event picture.

What went against Strowman was the fact he had signed a huge money deal with WWE and at a time when they were looking to cut costs, his release was bordering on being an inevitability. IMPACT seems like a good fit for Strowman, anyway, and both he and Impact EVP Scott D’Amore have teased him appearing for the company in recent weeks.

There was some speculation that Braun might look to re-sign with WWE on a lower contract, though he has now booked his first post-WWE match on Friday, October 1 against EC3 in the Free The Narrative II: The Monster In Us All event. As for his new in-ring name, "Titan" is said to be a possibility.

Strowman has also been booked for Qatar Pro Wrestling's SuperSlam 3 show on February 26, 2022; EC3, Jon Moxley, Brian Cage, Sammy Geuvara, Will Ospreay, and IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi have all also been confirmed for that show.

AEW does have a working relationship with IMPACT, so it's possible we could eventually see him there.
