Ace Austin is no longer the X-Division Champion!

The sly 23-year-old has managed to beat the likes of former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards, Trey Miguel, and Tessa Blanchard to keep hold of the prestigious belt; however, Ace Austin finally met his match last night at Rebellion.

When Willie Mack defeated Chris Bey, Acey Romero, Daga, Rohit Raju, Jake Crist, Cousin Jake, and Trey Miguel for an opportunity to face Ace Austin, the X-Division Champion tried to play some mind games with his new challenger and after last week’s vile attack, it appeared that Austin got into Mack’s head.

However, the 33-year-old was able to outsmart the cocky champion and managed to get the win thanks to his six-star frog splash finisher. Austin managed to hold the belt for 184 days.

This is Willie Mack’s first championship under Impact Wrestling. On an interesting note, Rich Swann made his return following the X-Division match to congratulate his partner on the big win. Impact seemed to be teasing a Swann/Mack feud earlier this year until the Baltimore native was forced on the side lines due to injury. Could we see the two friends turn into enemies down the line?
