This year has been a major financial downslide for Impact Wrestling. Well, the promotion is reportedly still looking to cut down on costs and Eddie Edwards current contract ends on February 10. Edwards is currently under a significant guaranteed money deal and Impact will most likely be offering him a new per-day contract. There are rumblings that Edwards will not be taking the deal and will join Bobby Lashley, and Ethan Carter III, in leaving the promotion very soon.

There's no word yet on what Eddie plans on doing, but the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE and ROH do have interest in signing him. WWE is looking to sign Edwards down to the NXT brand. Edwards is no stranger to NXT as he and his former partner (and now retired) Davey Richards wrestled back in the developmental promotion back in 2013 losing to then NXT Tag Team champions, the Ascension. Rumor has it that Triple H wasn't simply impressed with the tag team thus his reasoning for not signing them back then.
