It's been a long time coming, but Aleister Black finally returned to WWE last night during SmackDown. As expected, he appeared in a vignette that's designed to hype his in-ring return.
Serving as a trip inside Black's mind, he introduced us to a book titled "Tales of the Dark Father" and read from, "Chapter One: The Dragon." He started by saying, "I attended many funerals as a child. Father would bring me to these celebrations of life and death. He could deal with me because I was too little to understand, but as I grew older, father became colder and more distant, and that’s when it started to become apparent I was not taught how to defeat The Dragon, I was taught how to become The Dragon, because father was right. I could never be like you weak-minded fools."
"You gawking at the screen right now, you are the monsters and I am nothing like you, and I would never help you," Black continued. "You are the ones who reveal the true rotten nature of man, with your lies and your deceit, you transform your own children into bigger monsters than you are."
As you'll see in the video below, Black continued to insult WWE fans by concluding with the statement: "Like rotting corpses you should be scorched from the Earth to make room for more fertile things." Needless to say, we're expecting him to be a heel when he does eventually step back into the squared circle, but these dark, cryptic promos...well, they feel a little familiar.
The last time the company tried to get Black over, it was with promos like this one. Ultimately, he should be showing what can do in the ring, but for now, it seems this is the plan for him on SmackDown. Will it pan out? We're obviously going to have to wait and see...
