There's been a lot of chatter lately about the possibility of Triple H leaving WWE to start his own wrestling company, especially after the decision was made to transform NXT into NXT 2.0. The chances of that do seem slim, something PW Torch's Wade Keller elaborated on during a recent podcast.
"I was told by somebody in WWE not too long ago that Hunter is not going anywhere," he explains. "Their familiarity with the family dynamic is such where you know, they are familiar enough with the Stephanie-Hunter-Vince dynamic that Hunter cannot cash out and just leave without it affecting the family dynamic in a way that was just more negative than something Triple H would do."
"That could change and that person could be wrong but their hunch was Hunter is either gonna work in WWE or not but not work against them in the pro wrestling business."
So, Triple H might choose to move on from WWE, but not for something else in the wrestling business. This lines up with what Dave Meltzer recently said when he pointed out that The Game's recent cardiac event was extremely serious and he simply doesn't have the funds to launch a national promotion (bear in mind that AEW President Tony Khan is a billionaire).
We don't know what the future holds in store for Triple H in WWE moving forward; while he was recently spotted visiting the site of the company's new global headquarters, he may choose to reduce his role behind the scenes, particularly now NXT has become completely unrecognisable.
As always, we'll be sure to keep you updated depending on how the story develops.
