WWE made the shocking decision to end The Hurt Business a few weeks ago, but it seemed like we might be getting a new version with former Retribution members T-Bar and Mace after they attacked Drew McIntyre last Monday. This week's RAW kicked off with the Scottish Psychopath accusing MVP of orchestrating the ambush, but he insisted it was nothing to do with him.
As you might expect, McIntyre didn't believe MVP, and as he closed in on WWE Champion Bobby Lashley's right-hand man, T-Bar and Mace attacked again.
A handicap match was booked for later in the night, but McIntyre found an unexpected ally in Braun Strowman (he was supposed to face Randy Orton; for whatever reason, though, that match was cancelled without explanation and The Viper battled Riddle instead).
During the tag team bout, McIntyre tore off Mace's mask and was disqualified for using it as a weapon. Strowman, meanwhile, ripped off T-Bar's mask, and it seems this was WWE's way of ditching those goofy leather face coverings and repacking the two terribly named Superstars. Weirdly, the announcers acted as if this is the first time we've seen their faces.
That's despite the fact that Dominik Dijakovic previously wrestled in NXT and Dio Maddin was part of the RAW commentary team just eighteen months ago.
