Randy Orton (Accidentally?) Unmasked Rey Mysterio In The Main Event Of SMACKDOWN LIVE

Randy Orton defeated Rey Mysterio in the main event of SmackDown LIVE tonight, but the bigger story is what happened after the match. We're not sure if it was intentional or not, but Rey's mask came off...

Though Rey Mysterio has appeared in public without his mask before (he actually wrestled without it in WCW for a while), it's a very rare sight as the legendary Luchador still holds the Mexican wrestling tradition close to his heart.

So, imagine our surprise when Rey's mask popped off tonight on SmackDown.

After Randy Orton pinned Mysterio via a couple of wicked RKOs, The Viper put a chair around his neck and smashed it into the ring-apron, causing the mask to fall off (Randy had been tearing at it during their match). When that happened, Rey turned his face to the ground while Orton (seemingly) improvised by grabbing the mask and holding his prize aloft.

It's difficult to know whether this was planned or not. Randy did focus on Rey's mask during his promo earlier in the night, but the whole thing still played out like an accident.
